"Do not be anxious about anything"
Philippians 4:6-7
Why: Stress, worry, anxiety, the crazy speed of life, and the lack of rest are just a few causes to the breakdown of Pastor and congregation relationships, Pastor and staff relationships, and Pastor and family relationships. This is also evident in church workers; Teachers, DCE's, Youth ministry leaders, Missionaries, and most full time church workers. Church boards, Elder groups, even Bible study groups get caught up in the stresses of the world. Something needs to be done to slow the chaos. It is time for these workers to slow down, catch their breath and spend some time with God.

Who: Christian Retreats are for those church workers who need to get away and slow down. "Do not be anxious about anything." That can be very difficult when one cannot get away and escape the chaos for a little while. It is for the church staff planning, where part of the process is just being together in the peace and quiet of God's creation. It is for Pastor's family who needs to spend some time together just being with each other. The missionary who needs to spend some time reacclimating between fundraising. For the Board or Elders who in addition to planning need to get to know one another in a new setting. For the teachers who dedicate their whole heart to kids to be filled once again with Christ's love.

How: Hospitality, service, encouragement, mercy, help, leadership, and counsel are just a few of the Spiritual gifts used in ministry of Christian Retreats. Sometimes people need to be left alone with God. Other times, they need someone to talk with and share ideas with. It is nice to be served and not have to worry about planning the events of the day. All this is possible through Christian Retreats.

Where: Christian Retreats can take place in a variety of places. Individual homes, retreat centers, hotels, wherever a group of people can gather. The best place is somewhere with access to God's creation where one can walk through the woods, sit by the lake, or visit around a fire. We don't recommend your home church. Currently we have free access to a donor's home. This home houses six couples, or 13 individuals, each with their own bed. If sharing a queen bed, then the number rises to 18 individuals.

-FREE USE
It is our hope that more people would be willing to offer their homes or properties for free use while they may be gone for winter or summer months.
-NOMINAL COST
The ministry would like to move in the direction of couples retreats with qualified leaders to help share and encourage couples in their marriages, bringing Christ back to the center, at a nominal cost.
-NO COST TO THEM
It is our desire to be able to offer Pastor and wives retreats, giving them a 5 star experience through facility, food, and fellowship at no cost to them.
-FREE SERVICE
Mentoring, especially of young pastors and wives, is needed more today than ever. Through the Christian Retreats, it is our hope that some of these Pastors and their wives will recognize the need for continued mentoring and encouragement. This would be offered using qualified mentors through in person contact or zoom. It is our desire to offer this as a free service to out Pastors, their wives, and church workers.
